Hill Baritone Andrew Thomson Piano An integral part of the Rotary Club of West Fife’s activities is to serve the local community, so this concert, produced and performed by Strictly Songtime on behalf of the club, in and for the local community, with profits being donated to local charities does just that. The programme is a pot-pourri of songs from a variety of genres, from popular songs to opera, music theatre to Scots to appeal to a wide range of musical tastes, allowing the audience to be entertained whilst donating to their community.

Best remembered for his Broadway musical ‘Showboat’, Kern won the first of his Academy Awards for the film musical 'Swing Time', featuring Astaire and Rogers, and 'The Way you Look Tonight' subsequently won him a coveted Oscar.

Regarded by peers as the finest craftsman in the business, songs such as ‘September Song’ and ‘Mack the Knife’ became standards of The American Songbook.

The story then follows Rebecca and David as they search for him, and how they and their friends in the immigrant community try to make a new life for themselves in the Land of the Free
